Oh I love a good beauty trend, even if it's not for me, I love seeing people recreate their versions of 'what the latest' is!
In 2024, I believe we're entering into a 'revival' era of taking what once WAS, and bringing it back to life! Here are 4 beauty trends I think will be all over our socials...
THE MATTE-ER THE BETTER?
Nah, the sub-heading is a bit much, however, I do feel like we're going to see less dewy skin (as an oily skin gal, I struggled to hop on board with this) and back in with more cloud/soft skin. For me, this base look is timeless and I'll continue to reach for my IRL for the foreseeable.
COLOUR ME IN
Neutrals may be taking a bit of a back seat in 2024... Are we out with the old and in with the BOLD? I am seeing more and more stunning bright eye looks, to the point where we're grabbing our blue mascaras instead of our black! We may even notice the 2016 bold eye being incorporated a little more! (Too right because these eye looks were a work of art, let me tell you!)
As for lips - I think we'll be reaching for deeper shades over light this year. I'm feeling 'Cherry Cola Lips' will be around longer than 2023 gave it credit for!
GOT THE 'TINT?
Straight to the point with this one; Lip Tints over Lip Oils... There I said it! I'm here for it, because lip tints certainly offer versatility. I would be lying if I said I wouldn't be grabbing for my lip oil though, for me, that works well on top of the tint!
Ooo SHINY!
Hello Metallics, it's been a hot minute! Yeah, 2000's are reviving and thriving by the looks of it. My Y2K Palette has already taken a battering, poor thing, however, you can see why, just look at it!
I'll be intrigued to see how accurate this is, however, I do strongly believe we will lengthen old and new trends this year. Unlike 2023, whereby we were getting through them like I do hot dinners!
