Black creatives you should be following right now

Let’s celebrate…

Black beauty
Black joy
Black excellence

Let’s talk about how you can actually support the Black community?

- Raise awareness – (sign petitions, post & share)
- Shop from black owned businesses
- Educate and inform – have conversations with family & friends & fight for justice against systematic racism
- Speak up and use your voice for change
- Show love & solidarity always

Lets make sure to keep the Black Lives Matter momentum going. Here are some resources of ways in which you can help and support:

This ISN’T a trend.

This month we saw Black History Month in the US. With our feeds absolutely jam packed with beautiful talent from Black creatives, I wanted to pick out my top 5 creatives that I am loving this month to celebrate.

I hope these amazing creatives can give you guys some make up inspiration as well as diversifying your feed. Black creatives need to be celebrated and appreciated all year round and these talented individuals do NOT disappoint!

GRAPHIC LINER QUEEN. Come and see Soreya pls!! Absolute stunner. Soreya’s gorgeous graphic liner looks playing around with bold colours and patterns are honestly amazing. I love how she experiments with different shapes and designs to create unique eye looks. The talent is 10/10. If you love a bold eye look then definitely go check her out…

@BADBOYNICK

THE BADDEST OF BAD… next we have Bad Boy Nick. Being a pro make up artist, Nick really showcases his personality and vibe through his eccentric looks. I am OBSESSED. He loves to play around with colour and isn’t afraid to stand out and be himself. The talent really shines through him and I love how he subverts the norms surrounding men wearing make up. GET ITTTTT.

@WHITNEYXABIGAIL

A BEAUTY QUEEN. UK based MUA Whitney is so talented I can’t even deal. Her looks are creative, quirky and absolutely flawless. If you already aren’t following her, then what are you doing??? I love how she plays with colour and pattern to express herself. For me it’s definitely the different lip colours, I am obsessed! What I also love about Whitney is she embodies the hashtag #MakeupForSelfCare and has a page called @the.selfseries focusing on daily self development. We all need a pick me up and a reminder to overcome imposter syndrome, transform your mindset and to build resilience and Whitney does just that. I love what you’re doing girl, keep up the AMAZING work!

@EMILYAMAA

WOW! Emily is such a beauty. She showcases a range of beauty and skincare looks on her Instagram. What I love about Emily is that she is real with her content and shows you how to achieve wearable, yet unique looks. My favourite content of hers is her wellness & skincare videos. She is definitely the self-care queen and this is something we all need to be doing this lockdown, so definitely check her out. Keep thriving girl!

@DYLANDAVII

IT’S THE COLOURED LASHES FOR ME. The aesthetic, the talent! Dylan creates the most amazing editorial style looks. He incorporates colour, texture and tone into his make up looks, experimenting to make them different and unique. You can really see the passion this guy has for make up through his work. He is definitely the one to watch…

I hope you enjoyed reading my favourite creatives this month and hopefully were inspired by some of them. Black creatives are smashing up the scene right now and we absolutely love to see it! Remember to give these guys a follow… they are absolutely incredible and deserve all the praise.

Thank you for reading & sending everyone lots of love.

Sending everyone lots of love,
