Buying gifts for someone beauty-obsessed has never been harder. Gone are the days that a cheap glittery eyeshadow palette that smells like plastic and comes free with a useless double-ended sponge applicator cut it. Nowadays a makeup addict's collection can resemble something even a top MUA wouldn't turn their nose up at. Speaking as someone who's only defining personality trait is being way, way too into makeup, I've watched as far too many friends, family members, and ex-boyfriends have struggled over what to get me, or frantically come to me for last-minute advice for someone they know that they know loves beauty. What to look out for
First up, single-use plastic has to go. I love a festive gift set as much as the next person. But what I don't love is the ridiculous amount of single-use plastic the boxes often come wrapped in that just gets thrown immediately in the bin. We're leaving plastic gift wrap in 2019, she ain't cute. This year all Revolution’s festive gift sets are in plastic-free cardboard boxes.
Actually good, usable makeup is in. This is stating the obvious, but no one wants to receive a gift set they're never going to use again.
