What’s New: The DermStore Flagship Store

From its beginnings as a dermatologist-backed online store, is now one of the premier online destinations for beauty and skin care products. Now, West Coast beauty buffs can rejoice as the company’s first ever DermStore flagship shop lands in Hermosa Beach. Opening its doors just steps away from the Hermosa Pier, the new retail spot not only offers an expansive array of products, it includes a luxe hair salon and spa featuring treatments from Decleor, Eminence, Phytomer, YonKa, Dermalogica, Guinot and Thibiant, to name a few, as well.

To meet each customer’s individual needs, DermStore will offer access to skin consultants, video demonstrations and both customer and dermatologist reviews - just as it does online.

What’s New: Spring Fashion at H&M

Super glam launches, eco-friendly lines and nostalgic springtime accessories are all the rage this season at H&M.

Check out the styles coming to racks near you…

H&M Conscious: The Exclusive Glamour Collection.

As part of its Conscious initiative, H&M has created an exclusive collection of red-carpet looks, all made from more sustainable materials such as organic cotton and hemp as well as recycled polyester. The Exclusive Conscious collection will be available from April 12 in around 100 stores H&M worldwide, as well as selected looks on-line.

Lingerie: Neon brights and romantic touches.

This spring, underwear at H&M isn’t just about being part of a complete outfit. Romantic lace bras have a modern touch, with vivid neon shades such as pink and yellow, or animal prints trimmed with black lace.

Get the sweet nostalgic look: straw hats, cat-eye sunglasses and big jewelry.

H&M’s nostalgic accessories boast the Fifties look. Sunglasses are in spring’s nostalgic cat-eye style; the line of embellished jewelry includes silver starburst earrings, oversized plastic bracelets, chunky rose gold-colored necklaces, and a sparkly ring in the shape of a leopard’s head. Clutches and straw bags complete the ensemble.

H&M Conscious: Sustainable spring style for everyone.

In addition to the Exclusive Glamour Conscious collection, H&M Conscious collections also span other store concepts. This is all part of Conscious, the ongoing initiative to increase the use of organic cotton and other more sustainable materials. Preppy pieces like cotton espadrilles, tie waist khaki shorts and floral smocked dresses will be available for women, men and children.

7 Ways to Look Better in the Buff

No body (well, let’s say most people) feels comfortable baring it all. Unless you’re some kind of freak of nature, there’s probably something (or a lot of things) you wish you could cover up when it comes to your body. From tinted body enhancers and hair removal products to calming and hydrating lotions, there are plenty of ways to boost your (naked) self-confidence on the market these days. Here are seven of our favorite products that will leave your body looking and feeling in tip top shape.

(From L-R): mybody SAFETY BLANKET, $60; DNAEGF Renewal Scar Therapy, $45; Schick Intuition Tropical Splash, $9-$18; Bronzing Self-Tanning Gel by Fake Bake, $25; Miracle Skin Transformer BODY SPF20, $34; emerginC blemish control, $28; Spray-On Shower-Off Hair Removal by Sally Hansen, $8.

1. Hide Imperfections

Conceal blemishes and camouflage scars for a smooth and irresistible canvas. Intensive treatments such as DNAEGF Renewal Scar Therapy, that minimize the appearance of scars - cuts, burns, stitches, and other minor skin lacerations - can restore skin’s smoothness and tone.

2. Correct & Protect

Find a high-performance skincare solution depending on your skin type to treat problem areas. For dry skin: Use an ultra-hydrating lotion to nourish delicate skin. We love mybody’s SAFETY BLANKET for its calming botanicals and protective antioxidants that work harmoniously with holistic anti-inflammatory extracts and active sensitizers to calm itchiness. For oily or blemished skin: The potent spot drying treatment, emerginC blemish control, not only rapidly improves both body and facial breakouts, it calms problematic skin with ingredients such as zinc oxide, sulfur and camphor without overdrying.

3. Hair-Free Means Carefree

Rid yourself of unwanted hair and achieve touchable, smooth skin with your pick of convenient, no-mess applications and tools. Say good-bye to stubble by using a a spray-on solution that delivers quick results. We like the long-lasting, 360-degree spray from Sally Hansen, Spray-On Shower-Off Hair Remover, which helps target hard-to-reach places for all-over smoothness. Give legs a silky soft feel using a one-step razor that lathers and moisturizes like Schick Intuition’s  Tropical Splash, which is enriched with Vitamin E, Shea Butter and 100% natural Aloe.

4. Get Glowing

Apply a tinted body enhancer or bronzing gel to give skin a natural glow. To give legs and decollete fresh and flawless coverage, we love Miracle Skin Transformer BODY SPF20, which comes in three shades (glow, bronze and sheer) to suit your skin tone. Lightweight, non-sticky tanning products like Fake Bake’s Bronzing Self-Tanning Gel easily glides on with silky perfection and can be used on most skin types. Both products are packed with natural antioxidants to give skin a total transformation. Say good-bye to the appearance of cellulite, spider veins and uneven tone by using these products year-round.
