3. Winner selection and prizes

3.1. Following the Competition Period, a shortlist of 10 eligible entries (the “Top 10”) will be selected by a judging panel containing at least one member who is demonstrably independent of the Promoter, its intermediaries and the entrants. Entries will be assessed on originality, creativity, execution of the makeup look and interpretation of the Halloween theme, with equal weight given to each criterion. The judges must be competent to assess the entries and their full names will be available on request. Where an entrant has submitted more than one eligible entry, only their strongest entry will be considered for the Top 10.

3.2. The Top 10 will be announced by 23:59 (UK time) on 26 October 2026 via @makeuprevolution on Instagram and/or TikTok. Public voting will take place via an Instagram story posted on the @makeuprevolution page between 00:00 (UK time) on 27 October 2026 and 23:59 (UK time) on 30 October 2026. Each Instagram account will have one vote only across the whole voting period, and a vote can only be cast from the voter's own Instagram account. If more than one vote from the same account is identified, only the first will count. The three entries receiving the most valid votes will take first, second and third place respectively and will be announced on 31 October 2026 in a dedicated post on @makeuprevolution on Instagram and TikTok. Any tie affecting those places will be resolved by the judging panel applying the same criteria.

3.3. The Promoter may disregard votes reasonably believed to have been generated by bots, automated systems, vote-buying, multiple accounts used to circumvent voting limits or other manipulation. An entrant may be disqualified where the Promoter reasonably concludes that they arranged or knowingly participated in such manipulation.

https://www.instagram.com/makeuprevolution/3.4. Prizes:

1st place: An engagement as the face of a Revolution campaign, with a winner’s fee of £5,000, plus return economy flights and standard hotel accommodation for the shoot, booked and paid for by the Promoter, plus a place on the Promoter’s PR list for one year.  The hotel stay will be for up to two (2) nights, and the Promoter will also cover ground transfers between the airport, hotel and studio and meals during the shoot. Other expenses, including visas, travel insurance and personal expenses, are not covered. The engagement will be documented in a separate campaign agreement reflecting the terms disclosed here; no additional material restrictions will be introduced after entry. The shoot is expected to take place in the United Kingdom during June 2027 and, in any event, no later than 31 December 2027, which will be more than 30 days after the closing date. The engagement will be for no more than one (1) shoot day of up to eight (8) hours [CONFIRM: proposed maximum commitment], and we will be in touch with the winner after the Competition to discuss and agree the exact dates. The fee is paid for services provided under the campaign agreement and the winner is responsible for any tax due on it. The Promoter will have global usage rights to the campaign content across all channels, including but not limited to digital, social media, paid advertising, e-commerce, email/CRM and in-store marketing, for a period of six (6) weeks from the date of first use. The winner must be lawfully able to travel to, and carry out paid work in, the United Kingdom. Where the winner lives outside the United Kingdom, they must hold, or be able to obtain before the shoot, any visa or permission needed for the paid engagement, at their own cost. If the first-prize winner declines the campaign engagement or cannot meet these participation requirements, they will forfeit the campaign engagement and the Promoter will instead provide a Revolution goodie bag together with the one-year place on the PR list, the same as the prizes for second and third place. If the Promoter is unable to arrange the shoot, or any approval for which it is responsible, the Promoter will instead provide an alternative prize of equivalent value, which may be a payment of equivalent value, to be agreed with the winner.

2nd place: A year’s place on our PR list + a Revolution goodie bag.

3rd place: A place on our PR list for a year + a Revolution goodie bag.

A place on the PR list means the winner will receive Revolution products selected by the Promoter at its discretion, depending on campaigns and seasonal moments, for one year starting on 1 November 2026. Each second- and third-place goodie bag will contain Revolution products selected by the Promoter at its discretion, depending on campaigns and seasonal moments, with a minimum retail value of £20.
3.5. The Promoter will contact the Winners via direct message on Instagram and/or TikTok, within 7 days of the winner selection with instructions of how to claim the Prize. The Promoter may also contact winners by replying to their entry post or by any email address they have provided, and will make at least two attempts to contact each winner.  If a winner does not respond to the Promoter within 14 days of being notified by the Promoter, then the Winner's Prize will be forfeited, and the Promoter will be entitled to award the prize to the next highest-ranked eligible entry, using the tie-break procedure in clause 3.2 where necessary.

3.6. The Winner will have deemed to have forfeited the Prize if the Winner is found to be ineligible or otherwise not in compliance with these Terms. In the event the Winner is deemed to have forfeited the Prize, the prize will be awarded to the next highest-ranked eligible entry, using the tie-break procedure in clause 3.2 where necessary.

3.7. The Prize is non-transferable, non-negotiable or non-refundable and there is no cash alternative except as set out in clause 3.4. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any Prize with a prize of equivalent or higher value if circumstances outside of its reasonable control makes it necessary to do so.

3.8. Prizes are for personal use only and may not be resold under any circumstances.

3.9. Winners’ details. The Promoter will make the surname and county (or, for winners outside the UK, country) of each winner, and their winning entry, available on request to social.media@revolutionbeauty.com for a period of eight weeks after the closing date, as required by the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising. A winner may object to this, or ask the Promoter to limit the information disclosed, by contacting the Promoter at the same address. The Promoter will in any event provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so.

3.10. Publicity. The Promoter intends to publicise the winners and their winning entries on its website and social media channels and in press and PR activity relating to the Competition, as permitted by clause 4.6. Other than the first-prize campaign engagement, winners will not be required to take part in any further publicity, interviews or appearances without their agreement.

4. Additional Information

4.1 Compliance with these T&Cs

Entries will only be accepted through the entry processes and platforms described in Section 2 of these T&Cs.

Incomplete, illegal, misdirected or late entries will not be accepted. Proof of sending or complying with the entry requirements will not be accepted as proof of receipt or entry. Promoter is not responsible for entries lost, damaged or delayed due to technical or connectivity or other problems.

All personal details and/or information given in the entry form or otherwise must be truthful, accurate and in no way misleading, and the Promoter may review the public social media history of shortlisted entrants and may ask any entrant for additional information to ensure the eligibility or identity of an entrant or their compliance with these T&Cs. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entrants if it has reason to believe that they have supplied untruthful, inaccurate, or misleading personal details and/or information.

4.2 Forfeiture by participant

Where a shortlisted entrant is required to confirm eligibility or consent before progressing, the Promoter will notify them of the information required and allow 72 hours from the time the message is sent to respond. If they fail to respond, the judging panel may select the next highest-scoring eligible entry using the criteria in clause 3.1. Winners have the 14-day response period specified in clause 3.5.

4.3 Conduct of participants

Participants of this Competition must behave in a way that is decent, moral and professional. If a participant engages in any conduct or activity that the Promoter reasonably believes could bring the Competition or Promoter into disrepute, whether through their entry/entries, on social media or in person, or if a participant submits an entry which contains any third party intellectual property without prior informed consent from the rights holder, or which contain any abusive, inappropriate, offensive or obscene language or imagery, that participant may be disqualified. Examples of language/images considered to be inappropriate, offensive or obscene, include (but are not limited to): any message/image which contains (a) swearing; (b) comments or actions which appear to be discriminatory of any person, company or group of individuals, for example comments of a racist, sexist or homophobic nature; (c) sexual innuendo, sexual language or sexual acts, actions or gestures; (d) promoting any illegal unlawful activity such as drug use; (e) any message that appears to be an advertisement or solicitation to buy; and (f) any materials (whether written or visual) that directly or indirectly relate to Promoter's competitor brands or that show any intention of promoting any brand other than Promoter brand. Where a participant is disqualified, the Promoter may select an alternative entrants or finalist in accordance with the relevant criteria used to judge that specific stage of the Competition.

4.4 No association with TikTok or Instagram

This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, TikTok or Instagram. Information supplied directly to the Promoter for the Competition will be used in accordance with these Terms and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. To the extent permitted by law, entrants release TikTok and Instagram from liability arising from their participation in the Competition.

4.5 Content guidelines

Content must be original to the entrant and must not infringe any third party proprietary rights, intellectual property rights, industrial property rights, personal or moral rights or any other rights, including without limitation, copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or confidentiality obligations, or otherwise violate applicable laws. Each entrant represents and warrants that all permissions, if any are required. Music may only be included where the entrant has the rights required for the uses permitted under Clause 4.6.; a platform music licence may not cover the Promoter’s advertising use. The Promoter reserves the right to use different music on any repost. Prominent third-party trademarks, logos, company names or advertising are not allowed. Revolution branding on products used for entry is permitted.

Any entries which contain any abusive, inappropriate, offensive or obscene language or imagery may be disqualified. Examples of language/images considered to be inappropriate, offensive or obscene, include (but are not limited to): any message/image which contains (a) swearing; (b) comments or actions which appear to be discriminatory of any person, company or group of individuals, for example comments of a racist, sexist or homophobic nature; (c) sexual innuendo, sexual language or sexual acts, actions or gestures; (d) promoting any illegal unlawful activity such as drug use; (e) any message that appears to be an advertisement or solicitation to buy; and (f) any materials (whether written or visual) that directly or indirectly relate to Promoter’s competitor brands or that show any intention of promoting any brand other than Promoter brand.

The Promoter may edit entry content only in accordance with section 4.6.

4.6. Publicity and authorisation to use entrant materials

Entrants retain ownership of the copyright and other intellectual property rights in their entries. By entering, each entrant grants the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish, display, communicate and edit their entry, and to use their name and social media handle as they appear with the entry, for the purposes of administering and publicising the Competition, including in the content gallery described in clause 2.10.3 and on the Promoter’s websites and social media channels, for a period of 12 months from the closing date. The Promoter’s agencies and service providers may exercise this licence on its behalf. Content published by the Promoter during that period may remain on the platform where it was posted after the period ends. Any wider use of an entry (for example in paid advertising, in-store, with retail partners or beyond the 12-month period) will only take place with the entrant’s separate written agreement; the Promoter may ask the Top 10 and the winners for that agreement as part of the shortlist confirmation process. An entrant may ask the Promoter to remove their entry from the Promoter’s own websites and channels at any time by contacting social.media@revolutionbeauty.com, and the Promoter will do so within a reasonable time where practicable Edits must maintain the original sentiment and must not be misleading or derogatory. No additional fee is payable for these uses, except for any payment expressly included in the first-prize campaign engagement. Entrants are not required to create further content or attend additional publicity activities without separate agreement.

Each entrant confirms that they have the permissions required to grant this licence, including consent from any other identifiable person featured in the entry. Rights and services relating to the first-prize campaign engagement will be addressed separately in the campaign agreement described in clause 3.4.

4.7. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, and nothing in these Terms affects entrants’ statutory rights. Subject to that, neither the Promoter nor its agencies or suppliers will be liable to any entrant for: (a) any failure or unavailability of Instagram, TikTok, the voting platform or any network, device or service outside the Promoter’s reasonable control; (b) any entry or vote that is lost, delayed, corrupted or not received as a result of such a failure; (c) any loss of earnings, loss of opportunity or other indirect or consequential loss arising from entering the Competition or accepting a prize; or (d) any failure to provide a prize caused by circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, provided that the Promoter will in that case offer an alternative prize in accordance with clause 3.7.

4.8. Privacy and data protection

Any personal information that entrants share with the Promoter (including name, address, email, social media profile, or other data) will be kept secure and only used in line with Promoter’s Privacy Policy and these T&Cs. The Promoter and its suppliers will process entrants’ personal information to run the Competition, including judging, public voting, verifying eligibility and age, contacting winners, publicising the results and complying with the UK Advertising Codes. The Promoter relies on the performance of these Terms and on its legitimate interests in running and publicising the Competition as the lawful basis for this processing. Full details, including entrants’ rights, are set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at www.revolutionbeauty.com. Votes cast via Instagram are also subject to that platform’s privacy terms .The Promoter may contact entrants by email, post, phone, SMS or other means in relation to the Competition, but will not send entrants any marketing communication unless entrants have also agreed to this.

Where entries include images or videos of individuals other than the entrants, the entrant confirms that he/she has obtained the consent of that individual for their image or video to be used in accordance with these T&Cs.

4.9. Amendment of the rules

Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms, or suspend or cancel the Competition, only where exceptional circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary. Any change must be proportionate, must not unfairly disadvantage entrants and must be communicated promptly through the channels used to promote the Competition. Suspected fraud or breaches of these Terms will, where practicable, be addressed by disregarding affected votes or disqualifying affected entries rather than cancelling the Competition.

If technical failures, interference or other circumstances affect the conduct or outcome of the Competition, the Promoter will take reasonable steps to resolve the problem fairly. Any amendment, suspension or cancellation remains subject to the safeguards above. The Promoter’s decisions on the administration of the Competition are final, without affecting entrants’ statutory rights.

4.10. Governing law & jurisdiction

English law applies to this Competition. This does not deprive entrants of any mandatory protections under the law of their country of residence. The English courts have jurisdiction, without restricting any right an entrant has under applicable mandatory law to bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence.

4.11. Contact

Questions about the Competition, requests for the judges’ names or winners’ details, and objections or removal requests under clauses 3.9 and 4.6 should be sent to social.media@revolutionbeauty.com or to the Promoter’s address in clause 1.2.
